If your braces, orthodontic wires, bands or aligners irritate your cheeks, lips or tongue please apply a large piece (greater than 1 inch length) of wax to the area that is irritated. Please make sure to dry the area well prior to applying the wax for better adherence. Make sure to cover the offending area as well as covering at least one to two teeth adjacent to the area and press the wax into and around the appliance so that it will not dislodge easily.
